Call for Abstracts
Present your research at the EBCOG 2025!
The 29th European Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EBCOG) will take place from 5 -7 June 2025 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
The programme committee would like to invite you to submit your research paper by 15 January 2025.

Formal criteria
- All abstracts must be written in English. Any other language (including German) will not be considered for the review process.
- Please choose a title that is short and describes your work.
- Word count is limited to 1900 characters. The title, authors’ name and affiliation should not be included in this number.
- All abstracts must follow thestructure: Introduction/Background, Objectives, Methods, Results/Discussion and Conclusion.
- Authors are requested to indicate their preference concerning the type of presentation, out of one of the four categories listed above. Please note that all case reports must be presented in a video format of a slide show (animated sequences of static images or slides are allowed).
- Authors should also indicate the abstract topic and signal the status of the main author (trainee, specialist, nurse etc.).
- Degrees, titles and acknowledgements should not be included in the abstract title or text.
- Please use the correct e-mail address of co-authors and do not use the same address for more than one of them.
- Avoid abbreviations and do not use capital letters in the title or authors name and affiliation.
- Tables and graphs cannot be included in the abstract.
- Please make sure there are no spelling or scientifical mistakes before submitting your abstract.
- With the submission of a contribution, submitters must provide information about personal relationships with business enterprises and declare possible conflicts of interest. These are usually present if the submitter has an interest in or receives financial benefits from companies.
- All accepted abstracts, after presentation at the congress, will be published in the European Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. By submitting an abstract, you agree to have your abstract published in this journal.
General information
- The submission deadline is 15 January 2025. Please note that this deadline will not be postponed.
- All submitted abstracts will be evaluated anonymously by at least two independent reviewers.
- After the review process, submitters will be notified of acceptance or rejection by email in February 2025.
- A team can present as many abstracts as they wish to, but we limit acceptance to two abstracts per presenter.
- A co-author is not limited in the number of abstracts he/she takes part in.
- Abstracts and authorship cannot be modified after the submission deadline.
- The same abstract cannot be sent to different international meetings, so please refrain from submitting it if your abstract has been previously accepted to another international congress.
- The Congress Committee will have the final decision on the type of presentation and allocated session for each accepted abstract.
- The submission of an abstract does not replace the registration as a congress participant. The author of an abstract must register for the congress and pay the registration fee at the latest after the abstract has been accepted. Failure to do so will result in the exclusion of the accepted abstract.
- No travel expenses will be reimbursed.
- Five awards will be granted by the Congress Committee.
- Award winners must be present at the Closing Ceremony in order to receive their award.
- All accepted abstracts will be invited to orally present at the congress (there is no option for paper or e-poster presentation). Please note that the presentation of an abstract needs to be on-site, there will be no option to present virtually.
- Please note that all case reports must be presented in a Video format of a slide show (animated sequences of static images or slides are allowed).
- All presentations must be submitted online before the congress starts, authors will be informed about deadlines after acceptance.
How to submit
- Registration
Create a user account, activate it and register with the appropriate fee. Payment of the fee can be made at a later date and is not initially required for the submission. - Abstractportal
Log into the abstract portal with your user account. It’s important that you have already registered with a fee. If you have trouble signing in even though you have registered with a fee and received the confirmation e-mail, please delete your browser history and cache. - Submit your abstract
